The Best Hotels On The Planet

Travel + Leisure has just released its annual list of the World's best hotels and incredibly, seven of the top 12 are lodges in Africa's game parks.

Singita Grumeti Reserves in Tanzania's Serengeti National Park topped the list, receiving a 98.44 score out of a possible 100 on the reader-generated list based on rooms and facilities, location, service, restaurants and food, and value.

Only one hotel in the U.S. made it into the top 12; the rest are scattered around the globe.
