[FunOnTheNet] British Countryside Photography Competition 2011

 

The National Countryside Photography Competition 2011 The National Countryside Photography Competition, in association with The Prince's Countryside Fund and Archant Life to promote The National Countryside Week, invited the British public to upload a photograph that they thought best encapsulates the beauty of the Great British Countryside. More than 2,200 images were submitted, and ten regional winners were chosen by the judges. The overall winner will be announced by The Prince of Wales and will be announced on the Great British Life website in the week commencing 11th July 2011. South West (Dorset) winner: Deer Bells, Dorset by Kris Dutson from Dorchester Northern Ireland (Antrim) winner: Causeway view by Jurgen Dabeedin from Potters Bar West Midlands (Shropshire) winner: Our world, our future by Brett Critchley Wales (Caernarvonshire) winner: Snowdon sunrise by Simon Kitchin of Flintshire East Midlands (Derbyshire) winner: Volcanic Millstone Sunset by Paul Willows South East (Sussex) winner: ewe with lamb by William Richardson from London East Anglia (Norfolk) winner: Barn owl by Bill Pound North East (Northumberland) winner: Hadrian's Wall by Derek Bates Scotland (Ross & Cromarty) winner: Old Man of Storr by Alistair Swan from Ayr North West (Cheshire) winner: Cheshire Forest Hunt by David Coles of Cheshire
