[WowMailz] my home { wat abt ur home } lets match {funny}
jatin wrote :- Hey, whatever happened to handy household hints? My home is falling apart! • In order to keep floating candles burning for a longer time, place a series of 10 to 15 such candles one on top of the other. To keep them burning for a really long time — for instance a month or even years — float the candles in an electrically heated bathtub full of molten wax. • Once a month, mix half a cup of vinegar with two tablespoons of sugar, a pinch of salt and 12 re-hydrated poppy seeds that have been dehydrated previously in the sun for a week. It will give you something to do on days when boredom seems to be engulfing everything and life appears to have no meaning. • To clean nail polish that has spilt on the floor, roll your nails one by one from side to side on it till it's all finished and the floor is clean. If any nails are still left over to be done, spill some more nail polish on the floor and repeat the exercise. • For great smelling furniture polish that also nourishes the wood, mix half a cup of Complan, Horlicks or Boost with six teaspoons of Channel No 5 perfume and apply to the table, chair or sofa with a soft cloth dipped in the mixture. (The cloth can also be used for great smelling skin nourishment afterwards.) • Leftover rotis can be made soft and fresh by inserting them between new layers of atta and rolling them out again. Cook as usual on the tawa and flame and, just before serving, remove the old rotis and discard. No one will know the difference. • Line all trouser pockets with soap. Not only will you be able to slip your hands in faster but they will come out cleaner too. • Disposable plastic syringes are good for applying mehendi. In fact they cost less and are much better than regular mehendi cones. You don't even have to fix the needle on the syringe unless you have added a dash of heroin to the mixture. • Stitch the edges of a sturdy cotton sari together to make a large three metre long bag. This can be used to carry up to hundreds of undergarments, blouses, cushion covers, pillowcases, napkins and tablemats while travelling on long distance road trips. • To ferment idli batter faster in winter, keep it out in the sun and wait till summer. • Remember, if your contact lenses fall down on the floor they cannot be seen because you are not wearing them. However, they can still be heard. To locate them this way, wear thick leather boots and walk in a spiral circle around the room to a point in the middle till you hear them somewhere along the way. • Want to get an extra shine and lustre when cleaning your car? Simply wash it with soap and water and wipe dry with a cotton cloth. Now take another cloth and dip it in mustard or coconut oil and rub hard over the entire car. Later, wash the car all over again with soap and water to get rid of the smell. In this way you will have inadvertently cleaned your car twice! • To cut the edges of fresh bread finely without breaking it, heat the knife over a high flame for about a minute and then cut the bread. The knife will never break. • Tired of always zipping up to close your pants and zipping down to open them? No problem. Simply have them stitched upside-down. Now you can zip up for opening and zip down for closing. People who observe you in public loos will think you are an artist. • If there is only a little bit of ginger, garlic or green chilli paste left in the container, add two tablespoons of boiling hot oil along with a pinch of salt and cook it in the bottle itself.
